Water-line replacement closes Conrad Drive

Conrad Drive along Woodland Park in Kalispell will be closed until approximately June 28 for a water line replacement. No through traffic will be permitted during construction.

White’s Civil Contracting will be replacing a water line on Conrad Drive from Woodland Avenue to College Avenue. Tie-ins will be performed at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Conrad Drive, as well as Conrad Drive and College Avenue.

Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Local access will be provided. Flaggers and/or traffic devices will be in place to direct traffic.

Access to Woodland Park from Woodland Avenue will be routed from Sylvan Court to College Avenue and the north entrance of the park will be used. No through traffic will be permitted during construction from Woodland Avenue to College Avenue.

Upon resumption of permanent water service water mains will be flushed, during which time homeowners may notice cloudy or opaque water or trapped air in plumbing.

Affected customers are asked to take precautions necessary to protect property and facilities, including, but not limited to, disabling electric power to pumps and/or other devices whose normal operation may be dependent on water pressure or water supply and which might be harmed if automatically energized during water shut-off.
