Flathead Lake Brewing part of online competition

Flathead Lake Brewing Co. in Bigfork is taking part in a nationwide online Brews from the Sun Competition put on by Solar United Neighbors.

Members of the public can vote through June 15 for Flathead Lake Brewing Co. at www.brewsfromthesun.org/flathead.

In 2015, Flathead Lake Brewing purchased four solar collectors that heat water the kitchen. The system was installed by Aeon Renewable Energy Inc. out of Whitefish.

Event covers the importance of job descriptions

The next Job Service Kalispell Blueprint for Business Success lunch is called “Job Descriptions: A Valuable Tool for Recruitment and Retention” and will be noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, at Flathead Valley Community College. The event will be in the Arts & Technology Building, room 139. Please bring your own lunch.

Presenter Joe Schmier, senior director of human resources at North Valley Hospital, will discuss the importance of having up-to-date and accurate job descriptions, what to include in job descriptions, and the tools and resources that help employers create accurate job descriptions.
