Senior-focused 'transition services' firm expands to Flathead
Caring Transitions Western Montana, a moving service specializing in senior relocations, is expanding its Flathead Valley services with a full Kalispell team. Mike Fikany and Stefanie Silvan opened a Missoula location of the national “transition services” company in May 2018 before expanding to the Flathead Valley.
“We had always planned to serve the Kalispell and Flathead Valley region, but because of the distance between the two locations, we wanted to make sure we had a solid foundation before we expanded,” explained Fikany in a statement.
Caring Transitions offers relocation services including “organizing, packing, decluttering, moving, resettling, in-person and online estate sales, liquidations and preparing homes for market.” Services are also customizable and customers can choose which offerings they need a la carte.
“Caring Transitions is a total solution for your transition,” said Silvan in the statement. They offer services for individuals handling downsizing, liquidation, relocation or other transitions.
Silvan also explained, “We aren’t a moving company or an estate sale company – we are a problem-solving company.”
The Missoula-based company previously focused most of its efforts on serving communities in Missoula, Hamilton and the surrounding area. With the addition of the Kalispell team, Caring Transitions Western Montana is prepared to serve Kalispell, Whitefish, Bigfork, Lakeside, Polson and surrounding areas in the Flathead Valley.
“We see a need for the services we offer throughout Western and Northwestern Montana,” Silvan said.
Fikany also said, “Now that we’ve been open and successful operating for more than a year, we felt the timing was right” to expand into the Flathead Valley, Fikany said.
Both Silvan and Fikany are Montana residents with more than a decade of industry experience. Fikany has reportedly “been working with senior-focused businesses for the last 15 years” and Silvan “has 15 years of customer service and management experience,” according to the statement.
