COLUMBIA FALLS — Josie Windauer broke the Columbia Falls school record for goals scored in a season with her fifth goal of the night in an 8-0 rout of Polson in Northern A soccer on Thursday night at Columbia Falls High School.

Windauer has scored 31 goals, breaking the old record of 30 held by Danielle Deventhal. And there’s potential for her to score even more with playoffs looming.

“Josie deserves it more than anyone,” Columbia Falls coach Thomas Clark said. “Pretty unique when you get to see two players break school records in the same game.”

Maddie Robison assisted on each of Windauer’s goals and tied the Columbia Falls school record of 14 in a season.

The Wildkats are 11-1 overall and 8-0 in conference play.

“I’m so proud of this group of seniors,” Clark said. “I can’t think of another group of seniors I would have rather coached my first year. They are going to go down as one of the best teams in program history.”

The Wildkats have eight days off before playoffs begin Oct. 19.
