Q. What are the most challenging economic growth issues facing Whitefish, and what solutions do you propose for handling growth?

A. Meeting growth challenges identified from community input and allocating financial resource based on availability. Prioritizing expenditures to meet basic service requirements. A return on public investments is required to sustain further outlays.

Q. Is the city of Whitefish doing enough to address affordable/workforce housing?

A. The availability of affordable housing is an issue with which most growing communities are struggling to find solutions. Facilitating the means for developers to have the incentive to provide housing and starter homes in the community which does not constrain housing supply should be a goal.

Q. Preserving the quality of Whitefish Lake and the small-town character of Whitefish are important issues for the resort town. What further steps can the city take to ensure these values are preserved?

A. Thoughtful enforcement of existing regulations to ensure shoreline integrity and water quality are maintained.

Q. What qualities make you the best candidate for a council position?

A. I have a tremendous appreciation for Whitefish and would like to share my skills acquired from over 45 years of experience in the business community. These include strategic planning, working effectively within organizations, and decision-making based on a strong foundation of facts and financial data.
