Genevieve Barbara Schrammeck, 92

Genevieve Barbara Schrammeck, 92, of Kalispell, passed away on Oct. 16 at Brendan House. She was a wonderful wife and mother, and will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She was born February 28, 1927, in Kenosha, Wisc, to Vincent and Mary Batwinski and was the youngest of five children. Gen graduated from high school in Kenosha and was working at the nearby Great Lakes Naval Training Station when she met and married Kenneth Schrammeck, from Great Falls in 1945.

Ken and Gen enjoyed 73 years of marriage. They lived in Great Falls for many years and raised three daughters there. In 1996 they moved to Kalispell and lived in Village Greens for 23 years.

Gen was an excellent bridge player and loved golf and played for many years. Ken and Gen traveled to Europe several times and enjoyed many trips to Hawaii, Arizona and other states. Gen’s 80th birthday was celebrated in Cabo San Lucas with all of her children and grandchildren present.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Mary Batwinski, her siblings; Stanley Batwinski, Felix Batwinski, Tony Batwinski and Gladys Murphy, grandson Brian Roberts, and great-grandson Meyer Etter.

Genevieve is survived by her husband Kenneth of Kalispell, her daughters Darcy Albert and her husband Bob of Kalispell, Diane Etter and her husband Bill of Kalispell and Marcia Holas and her husband Marvin of Glendive. Gen is also survived by her grandchildren: Aaron Holas, Janell Holas, Scott Jackson, Becky Jackson, Will Etter, Andrew Etter, and by her great-grandchildren Max Etter, Frankie Etter, Taylor Jackson and great-great grandchildren Trevyn Jackson and Beckham Jackson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, 1890 U.S. 93 North. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the Home Options Department, 275 Corporate Drive, Suite 600, Kalispell.
