Mary Jane Thramer, 70

| October 20, 2019 2:00 AM

Our precious Mary passed from this world peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 10, 2019, with husband Tom at her side and bathed in the love of her family.

Mary was born in Norfolk, Nebraska, on Sept. 3, 1949, to Bernadette and James Thramer. Her family moved to Kalispell and Mary attended Flathead High School. She worked at the Kalispell hospital, and then for 40 years at Stillwater outpatient mental health as an administrative assistant. She married Tom McFarlane in 1997.

Mary was a devoted mother to her son, Marc, and daughter Tawna, and beloved “Nana” to granddaughter Chloe. Family, friends and co-workers cherished her loving, generous nature. She loved good company, good music, good wine, and the glorious flowers she nurtured in her gardens. She enjoyed vacations with Tom to Italy, Hawaii and Belize, and their camping at the South Fork and other beautiful places in the Northwest. Everyone who knew Mary came to love her dearly.

A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Bernadette and James Thramer; and her sister, Dianne.

Surviving Mary are her husband, Tom McFarlane; son, Marc Barnhart; daughter, Tawna Silva and her daughter, Chloe; siblings, brother Jim Thramer (Alice), brother Dwayne Thramer (Laurie), sister

Rosemary Gilbert (Jim), sister Chris Delorme (Mark), sister Kathy Slocum (Bob) and brother, John Thramer (Pattie).
