Stillwater boys soccer repeat MCAA champs

Stillwater Christian School boys soccer team took home its second consecutive MCAA state championship title with a 4-0 win over Helena Christian School on Saturday.

“An exciting way to end the season,” Stillwater coach Ryan O’Rourke said. “The guys played hard and played well. They are happy to have won the second state championship in two years.”

Ethan Jimenez scored one goal and Colton Johnson had a hat trick.

Johnson was named All-tournament MVP as voted by coaches.

Josh Venmen and Caleb Cole-Tinkham were named to the first team and Daniel Shawbeck and Ethan Jimenez were named second team.

The Cougars’ season record was 9-6.
