Someone steals man's cash stash

A man told Kalispell Police Department that someone allegedly broke into his home and stole a handgun. He also noticed a “stash of money” was missing amount to about $300. The man said he could think of some people who might have done it but wasn’t sure.

A skinny woman was seen littering in a parking lot by a van with garbage around it. She allegedly picked up what garbage she dropped and moved on.

A woman reportedly heard a couple next door yelling at each other and thought she heard hitting sounds and a man yell about bringing out a shotgun. She then told police the apartment quieted down and the neighbors from downstairs also “yelled up” for the apartment to quiet down.

A woman was waiting to pick up her son in a parking lot when she reportedly heard someone screaming, yelling and fighting “nonstop” with another person — who was yelling just as loudly — from an apartment. The woman claimed things calmed down and the fight was between a “very angry teen,” and a mother “doing a good job attempting to parent.”

A man wearing a backward baseball cap and big pendant on a chain was allegedly seen wandering around and standing in front of a neighbor’s house. The person calling the report in said he wasn’t doing anything, he just looked suspicious. Police made contact with the man who was purportedly trying to catch his cat.

A youth received a minor in possession citation and released.

A woman told police that her roommate allegedly came to her door screaming and yelling about boxes she thought she moved, causing her children to cry. She claimed the roommate had knives in her room and had one in her hand when she was yelling at her a few days ago. She also alleged the roommate threatened to call CPS and make false reports about her.

A woman’s apartment was reportedly broken into and several items were missing including a laptop and a .22 pistol. She believed access was gained through the front door where she claimed to have found screws on the floor and wood shavings from the handle. She had a suspect in mind.

A manager told officers that a woman left a store and supposedly dropped a bunch of items out of her bag that were not paid for, but no one actually saw her put them into her bag. The manager retrieved the items, but said she left with a full purse they thought could contain stolen goods.

Someone said a property owner was allegedly in jail and had a lot of items in his yard and a man came to the location alleging some of the items were his and he wanted to claim them. The person calling in the report wanted an officer to come by and “help straighten things out.”
