COLUMBIA FALLS — The Columbia Falls Wildkats offense was too much for the Libby Loggers to overcome in a Western A volleyball match at Columbia Falls High School on Tuesday.

Columbia Falls won in three sets, 25-20, 25-10, 25-19 and tried to make as few mistakes as possible while doing it.

Wildkats coach Jolandie Brooks praised the several of her players on their performances and their consistency in the game.

“We tried to play consistent and keep our errors low,” Brooks said. “Mady Hoerner had a good offensive night. Hannah’s [Schweikert] and Angellica’s [Street] aces helped and both of them are huge assets on the court all around.”

Hoerner, an outside hitter, logged 11 of the Wildkats’ 29 kills.

Kiera Brown had six kills and one block.

Schweikert had four service aces, one block and added to the offense with six kills and 22 assists.

Street contributed 13 digs and served three aces.

The Wildkats are undefeated with a 2-0 overall and 1-0 conference record.

For Libby, Sheyla Gallagher and Ember Rode each served an ace, while McKenzie Proffitt had four kills.

Kylee Quinn had 10 assists.

Libby led Columbia Falls in digs, 31-28.

Ashlyn Monigold had 19 digs for the Loggers.

Columbia Falls recorded two blocks in the match. Libby had none.

Libby has yet to win a match and falls to 0-3 on the season.
