Cat owner concerned her pet is too desirable

A concerned cat owner called the Columbia Falls Police Department for advice on how to handle her sought-after pet. She said she knew her fetching feline was in heat “and [is] drawing every tomcat in the valley.”

A police officer flagged a man down to inform him his son had hit a deer.

Someone called the police to report “a car in the turning lane.” The caller was concerned for the driver because her turn signal was on for a while but she didn’t turn. He thought she might need medical help, but it turned out she was having car trouble.

A truck with Nebraska license plates was reported for having a large wooden pole sticking out from the bed of the truck “at least 10 feet.”

A woman’s dogs treed two bear cubs and a police officer arrived to help handle the situation.

Someone reported a woman for allegedly hurting herself, but when the police arrived they determined the woman was fine and “the statements… were unfounded.”

A driver reported a car was “broken into,” but the person later revealed the car had been unlocked and items were stolen from it.

A man said he was ready to report a theft from his backyard, but then he said he was on his way to work and would have to call back.

A homeowner requested extra patrol after suspecting someone had walked through the backyard.

A wallet was stolen with $1,700 in cash inside.

A man was upset a female driver nearly hit him while he was trying to parallel park. He followed the driver and confronted her. The police advised him not to take this course of action in the future, since this isn’t the first time he’s followed a driver “he felt wronged him.” He said this is “the only way to handle” this offense and “he carries a gun just in case.”

There were multiple calls to the Kalispell Police Department about a disabled rental car on the side of a road.

Someone found a credit card at a hotel and determined it must have been stolen.

A staff member at a store was “almost attacked” by a “shaggy, black-haired dog.”

Another dog “jumped and barked at” a neighbor. The victim of the barking tried to message the dog owner, but when the owner never responded the neighbor called the police.
