Rockanna Rand, 62

Rockanna Bell Sterner-Arneson-Rand, 62, of Columbia Falls, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 5, 2019, at The HealthCenter.

Rockanna was born April 8,1957, in Kalispell to Naomi Jean Sterner and William Harland Holgerson. Rockanna joined three brothers, Clayton and Jerry Sterner and William Good. Rockanna attended grade school in Kalispell and junior high in Anaconda and Twin Bridges. Rockanna moved to Columbia Falls.

In Columbia Falls she met and married her first husband, Peter M. Arneson. In this union they had Peter M. Arneson II (Shari) of Kalispell, Danette D. Walker (Mike) of Miles City, and Daniel J. Arneson (Corrine) of Creswell, Oregon. They divorced in 1993.

Rockanna’s greatest loves were her children, her love of God, crocheting, and helping with anyone or thing she could.

Rockanna found her way back to the love of her life, Michael D. Rand. Though never legally married they considered themselves married Nov. 20, 1998.

Mike had two children she loved as her own. Angela Kearney Rand (Jason) of Kalispell, and Aron M. Rand of Columbia Falls.

Mike and Rockanna also claimed Jesse Housel of Kalispell as their own.

Rockanna is survived by five of her children, 20 grandchildren, 17-plus great-grandchildren, two brothers, and numerous other family.

Rockanna was preceded in death by both her biological and stepparents; the love of her life Mike Rand, her sons Donald and Aron, her brother Clayton, her granddaughter Cassandra, and numerous family and loved ones.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
