Whitefish girls winners at Polson Invite golf

POLSON — Whitefish golfer Ella Shaw finished five strokes behind Corvallis’ Macee Greenwood to take second place at the Polson Invitational at Polson Bay Golf Club on Monday.

Shaw finished the day with an 80.

Anyah Cripe of Whitefish carded 89 for seventh place. Kendall Reed was ninth.

Trey Kelley of Polson shot 72 for first place in the boys competition.

Whitefish’s Cameron Kahle was three strokes behind for third place with 75.

Whitefish golfers Drew Brozek and John Nix finished fifth and seventh.

Whitefish nearly swept the team titles, with girls claiming top honors with 366 points and the boys finishing 10 points behind Hamilton with 325.

Polson and Ronan girls were third and fifth respectively.

Columbia Falls, Polson and Libby boys were fourth, sixth and seventh.
