Lead the festivities as Oktoberfest's Hop Queen

The 10th Annual Great Northwest Oktoberfest is less than two weeks away, and organizers are searching for a Hop Queen to lead Oktoberfest into its second decade.

The rewards are substantial — a $500 cash prize, your own authentic German dirndl, complimentary brats and beer throughout the fest, a magnificent floral “Hop Crown,” and a one-night stay at the Firebrand Hotel.

In return, you’ll be the face of Oktoberfest for the next year, promoting Whitefish, Oktoberfest and Montana-made beer.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and be a lover of “all things hoppy,” including hops, beer and Oktoberfest. The 2019 Hop Queen Pageant begins with the “Hop Queen prelims” at the Firebrand Hotel Wednesday, Oct. 2, and concludes on and off stage the following night at Oktoberfest.
