Annual book sale benefits library

The Friends of the Library have their annual book sale this weekend. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kalispell Center Mall. Books, DVDs, and CDs are for sale with all proceeds benefiting ImagineIF Libraries throughout Flathead County.

Quilters Guild show at fairgrounds

The Flathead Quilters Guild presents its 2019 show, “A Wee Bit Wooly,” at the Flathead County Fairgrounds. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $6; children under 12 are admitted free.

Talks today. Joan Hodgeboom presents “Stitches with Joan” at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Hawk Watch in Jewel Basin

Flathead Audubon offers a field trip to the Hawk Watch site in the Jewel Basin from 8 to 5 p.m. Saturday to see migrating fall raptors. The hike takes about two hours and is uphill at a moderately strenuous pace.

Author talks about mountain lions

Jim Williams, author of “Path of the Puma, The Remarkable Resilience of the Mountain Lion,” gives a presentation and book signing at 4 p.m. Saturday at Montana House in Apgar Village, Glacier Park.

The event is open to the public and there is no charge to attend.

Hillybilly fun day

The Fritz Corn Maze hosts Hillbilly Fun Day and two fundraising events held in conjunction with Flathead 4-H on Sunday. The entrance fee is $5.

Events throughout the day include a Hillbilly Horse Course, wheelbarrow races, pumpkin slingshot and sack races.

• From 10 a.m. to noon all proceeds from the Walk for Wings 3K benefits the Ramsey Keller Foundation of Billings.

• From noon to 4 p.m. money raised will benefit a Montana family whose daughter is fighting cancer.

There will be a food truck on site from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fritz Corn Maze is located across from 208 Birch Grove Road off U.S. 2, 1 mile south of Glacier International Airport.
