Guitarist delights Rising Mountains residents
Board certified music therapist Kirsten Wells, owner Flathead Music Therapy, sang and played guitar for the residents of Rising Mountains Assisted Living last Friday afternoon. Visitors weren’t allowed inside the building due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, but Wells was able to walk the perimeter of the building, performing from window to window.
Residents were told that she’d be visiting and slid open their windows to hear her play.
“Hi, how are you? Can I play some music for you?” she asked each resident in greeting.
Wells took requests happily and played tunes ranging from the Johnny Cash classic “I Walk the Line” to “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” Many of the residents sang along with her, while some preferred to just sit back, relax and enjoy the music.
