Woman accused of firing handgun at boyfriend pleads not guilty
A Bigfork woman accused of firing a gun at her boyfriend pleaded not guilty to one count of felony criminal endangerment during her initial appearance in Flathead County District Court last Wednesday, April 15.
Valori Eve Vidulich, 46, reportedly fired a silver Ruger .357 handgun at her boyfriend during an argument inside a Jewel Basin Court apartment, according to court documents. The upstairs neighbor called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report a disturbance at 3:18 p.m. on March 7. The reporting party stated that she heard a gunshot from Vidulich’s apartment. She then went downstairs and reportedly saw Vidulich holding a silver pistol and told her to put the gun down, court documents show.
The caller retrieved Vidulich’s boyfriend from the apartment. She also alleged that the March 7 incident was not the first time Vidulich had pulled a gun on her or the boyfriend.
Deputies arrested Vidulich and transported her to the Flathead County Detention Center. She appeared intoxicated, according to a police affidavit. During a search of Vidulich’s apartment, deputies uncovered a silver Ruger handgun and observed that the pistol’s cylinder contained one spent shell casing and five unspent shells, documents show.
If convicted of the offense of felony criminal endangerment, Vidulich faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in the state prison and a fine of $50,000.
