ImagineIF Libraries to offer curbside materials pickup starting in May
ImagineIF Libraries will offer curbside pickup starting May 4 in response to state and local plans to progressively reopen Montana. In the meantime, ImagineIF will retrofit its facilities throughout the county in order to safely open their doors to the public at a later date.
With over 30,000 cardholders, hundreds of thousands of print materials circulating, and serving a population of over 100,000, the library is a complex system. Librarians are working hard to institute precautions in facilities that will keep us all safe into the future and are grateful for the community’s patience, according to a press release issued Friday, April 24.
Library customers are encouraged to keep their currently checked out materials until June 1 so book drops are not flooded with returns. Libraries will ensure that customers do not accrue fees for materials during this time.
The library’s virtual branch remains open. Unique virtual programs on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, such as “Virtual Trivia Night”, Early Literacy Classes and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) activities will continue.
