Bigfork boys, girls trip Eureka
BIGFORK – Colt Thorness scored 12 points, including a third-quarter dunk, and the Bigfork Vikings held down Eureka 48-31 in a Western 7-B boys’ basketball showdown Thursday.
Thorness also grabbed four rebounds and blocked six shots for the Vikings, who drew into a first-place tie with Eureka at 4-1 in 7-B games. Bigfork is 7-4 overall while Eureka fell to 6-5.
Levi Taylor and Walker Fisher added eight points each for Bigfork. Cory Channey led Eureka with eight.
The win completed a Bigfork sweep; earlier Thursday the Vals beat Eureka 53-47 behind 15 points from Ansleigh Edgerton. It was just the second loss for the Lions (9-2, 3-2 in league). Bigfork is 7-4, 4-1.
