The Kalispell Lakers’ annual Batter Up Bash fundraiser begins Friday at 5 p.m., with keynote speakers Jack Morris and Dan Gladden on hand.

The fundraiser includes a dinner at 6 p.m., with Morris and Gladden speaking at 7. There will also be a silent auction and raffles at the event, which is at the EXPO Building at the Kalispell Fairgrounds.

Morris and Gladden were teammates on the 1991 World Champion Minnesota Twins: Morris was World Series Most Valuable Player and Gladden scored the winning run against the Atlanta Braves in Game 7.

Morris had the most victories in the majors in the 1980s and was on four championship teams: The Twins, the 1984 Detroit Tigers and the 1992-93 Toronto Blue Jays. Gladden played on Minnesota’s championship teams in 1987 and ’91.

Both went into broadcasting after their playing days ended; Gladden is a TV analyst for the Twins.

Tickets are $65. For more information go to https://www.kalispelllakers.org/batter-up-bash.
