Exhibit features art created at Flathead Lake Biological Station
From the macro to the micro, pen to brushstroke, discover new insights into the world through the eyes of artists and scientists inspired by work done at the internationally renowned Flathead Lake Biological Station. Open AIR, the Flathead Lake Biological Station and Bigfork Art and Cultural Center have come together to provide a unique exhibit featuring a wide variety of works created by artists from throughout the nation who have resided and created at the Biological Station's 84-acre reserve on Yellow Bay.
The exhibition features Open AIR Artists-in-Residence at FLBS - local, professional and novice artists who participated in plein-air workshops last summer, and historical works from artists who have created at the Biological Station since its original founding. The “Scene + Unseen” exhibit includes visual artworks, including works in watercolor, oil, fabric, graphite drawings, pastels as well as moving-image, sound and written works. Enjoy a unique exhibit revealing diverse perspectives on Flathead Lake and its watershed.

The “Scene + Unseen” exhibit continues through Sept. 25 at the Bigfork Art and Cultural Center, 525 Electric Ave.
An opening reception will take place Friday, Aug. 13, from from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Exhibit hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
