Bigfork players secure post-season honors
Eight Bigfork basketball players picked up postseason honors last week as the Class B All-Conference and All-State lists were announced.
The Vikings had six players honored, including sophomore Isak Epperly’s selection as both All-Conference First Team and All-State. Epperly led the Vikings in rebounding with 6.2 per game and assists with 4.6 per contest and also averaged 9.2 points per game.
Senior Cormac Benn was also an All-Conference First Team selection after averaging 9.8 points per game. Benn was second on the team in rebounding at 5.7 per contest.
Senior second team selection Walker Fisher was second on the team in scoring during the regular season at 11.2 points per game and also averaged 2.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists while fellow second team selection, sophomore Bryce Gilliard led the team with 11.3 points per game while also averaging 5.1 rebounds.
Freshman Colin Wade and junior Levi Taylor were Honorable Mention selections.
For the Valkyries, junior Emma Berreth was an All-Conference First Team selection after leading Bigfork in scoring with 17.2 points per game and steals at 3.6 per contest. She was also second-leading rebounder for the Valkyries at 6.7 per game.
Sophomore Madison Chappuis was selected to the All-Conference Second Team after leading the Valkyries in rebounding (6.9) and blocks and also averaged 5.4 points and 2.6 steals per game.
