Bigfork Water and Sewer Board write-in deadline on Feb. 28

Anyone interested in filing to run for the Bigfork Water and Sewer Board must submit their intent to be a write-in candidate before February 28.

The Bigfork Water and Sewer Board election has nine people running this year with the election falling on May 3. Their board consists of five seats with four of those occupied.

Currently, Lloyd Ross and Eugene Helberg serve as directors, while Tom Cahill and Seth Price serve as board members. ​

Bigfork Water and Sewer District said on their website that their aim is to provide cost-effective, reliable and high-quality water and wastewater services to the people of Bigfork. Public Board Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month in the District Office at 108 Harbor Heights Blvd at 1 p.m.

The last day to file as an official candidate was February 6, but those interested in running a write-in campaign can do so by filling out the necessary paperwork at the Flathead County Elections office before February 28 at 5 p.m.

Voter registration closes on April 4.

Bigfork Water and Sewer is also looking to fill two staff positions.

Both positions will be Temp to Permanent for the right fit person.

The first one is Office Assistant that would work 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and the second position is for a Field Operator.
