Swan River Community Hall
Pie Auction
The Swan River Community Hall will be holding their annual pie auction at the hall on Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m.
Admission is one pie or $10 per family.
The auction is to raise funds for the preservation of this historic building.
Swan River Hall is located on Highway 83 across from the Echo Lake Cafe and Swan River School.

BLUAC meeting
April 27
The Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee will meet in the downstairs of the Bethany Lutheran Church (8559 Highway 35) in Bigfork at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 27 to discuss a request from Kalispell’s JBC 12, LLC for a conditional use permit to allow multi-family dwellings on property located at 218 Jewel Basin Court in Bigfork.
The applicant is proposing two four-plex apartment buildings, for a total of eight units.
The property is located within the Bigfork Zoning District and is zoned B-3 (Community Business).
The total acreage involved in the request is approximately 0.5 acres that can legally be described as Lot 15 of Jewel Basin Plaza in Section 24,
Township 27 North, Range 20 West, P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana.
The committee will also be hearing an update on trail planning efforts by the Update on Bigfork Outdoor Recreation Alliance.
Taste of Bigfork tickets on sale

Planning and Zoning to meet with West Shore residents
Two Meetings of Importance: Wednesday April 26th at 5:30 at the Lakeside Elementary School and Wednesday May 3rd at 5:30 at the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office (40 11th Street, Kalispell).
On these dates the Flathead Planning and Zoning Department would like to meet with residents of Lakeside, especially residents of the neighborhoods and properties that are South of Spring Creek Road and North of Bierney Creek Road, and mostly West of Highway 93.
The intention is to gain insight into the resident’s interest in actions they can take that would allow the County to be more involved in protecting residents from unplanned land use surprises made by real estate developers with unique growth plans for Lakeside.
Clean Your ‘Fork
is Saturday
The “Clean Your ‘Fork” community highway cleanup event will take place Saturday beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Volunteers are asked to meet at First Interstate Bank at 800 Grand Avenue, where breakfast will be provided by First Interstate Bank.
Rubber gloves, trash bags and safety vests will be provided.
Montana West Economic Development meeting
Montana West Economic Development is updating the Flathead County 5-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). Community input is vital for this process. Please attend one of the meetings below to share your ideas about challenges and opportunities for the county.
The meeting will take place Thursday, May 11 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Bigfork Chamber of Commerce office located at 8155 Hwy 35, in Bigfork.
