Registration open for Bigfork Job Fair
The Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce is holding their second annual job fair with Bigfork High School on March 22.
The Chamber began hosting the job fair last year after requests from its members. In a release, they said Bigfork has long experienced seasonal staffing shortages and this year looks to be no different. The fair serves as an opportunity for businesses to connect with students and residents in the Bigfork area and fill seasonal and year round positions.
Those who are not hiring are welcome to have a booth to attract future applicants and allow the students to explore what a career in your industry might look like. To find out more about a career exploration booth, email Bigfork High School Counselor, Solveig Munson at smunson@bigfork.k12.mt.us
This event is free to chamber members and non-members are asked to make a $20 contribution towards a Bigfork High School Scholarship the day of the event.
In addition to promotion at the high school, the Chamber will be promoting this event to retirees and newer residents as a way to get to know their community and help out businesses by working a couple of days a week. The event will also be open to the general public.
Email or call the chamber with questions. Business attendees will be provided a 6' table and chair in a 10x10' space. When registering, specify in comments the minimum age you are able to hire and the industry you represent.
Due to this event taking place at school property, businesses in certain industries may be in conflict with district policies and therefore unable to attend. A link to register can be found on the event’s page through the Chamber’s website, bigfork.org. If you have any questions, email chamber@bigfork.org.
