The Valkyries had two players honored as Montana Northwest A volleyball announced its all-conference teams last week.

Junior Ava Davey was a first-team all-Northwest A selection while sophomore Taylor Howlett was named to the second team.

The Vals went 16-13 this season, advancing to the Western A divisional tournament, where they went 1-2.

Whitefish’s Isabella Hartwig and Brooke Zetooney and Polson’s Avery Starr and Mckenna Hanson were named All-State for volleyball out of the Northwest A.

The league coaches chose their all-Northwest A teams, and a third Polson Pirate made first team: Julia Barnard.

Hartwig and Zetooney were the top hitters for a Whitefish squad that finished third at the Western A Divisional and qualified for the State A tournament for the first time since 2018. The Bulldogs went 17-12 this season.

Starr, Barnard and Hanson helped Polson make it to Bozeman for the first straight season. The Pirates won a match at State and finished 12-8.
