Keni Wade 2nd at State A golf, cross country in action
Just four months after capturing a State B golf title, Bigfork’s Keni Wade brought home a second-place finish from the State A tournament in Sidney this weekend.
Wade sat in second place after shooting an 80 on day one, and her 80 on day two was the second-best score of the day, but Frenchtown’s Katie Lewis shot a blazing 69 to earn her second straight Class A title.
Colin Wade shot a 76 on both days to finish 8th for the Vikings with a 152.
Bigfork’s cross country teams saw action at the Whitefish Invitational Sept. 26.
The Vikings finished third in the 11-team field with Jack Jensen claiming third overall with a time of 16:36.08
Sean Cotman was Bigfork’s next best finisher at 19th while Noah Hamilton-Dixon was 27th, North Nollan was 33rd, Colton Ballard was 39th, Sam Ayers was 40th and Nic Gustavson was 41st.
The Vals took seventh out of eight teams as Erika Dowling was 36th, Hadley Nollan took 40th, Sasha Steyee was 44th, Ava Reynolds was 46th and Madeline Pomeroy finished 59th.
