Vikings to face Broncs in cold weather Friday
Weather could be a big factor Friday as the Vikings travel to Hamilton to face the Broncs in the opening round of the State A football playoffs.
Temperatures are expected to be in the mid 20s with a 25% chance of snow at the scheduled kickoff of 7 p.m. as six-seeded Bigfork (4-4) looks to score an upset over third seed Hamilton (6-2).
On paper, the teams are nearly identical.
The Vikings come into Friday’s contest averaging just under 400 yards of total offense per game this season and nearly a perfect split between their ground and air attack.
Hamilton comes into Friday averaging 383 yards per game, also with a near perfect split between rushing and passing.
Bigfork has reached the end zone 37 times this season against Hamilton’s 36 and the Vikings have scored 264 points to the Broncs’ 250 this year.
