Northshore Woods decision postponed
The Flathead County Planning Board once again pushed back a decision on whether or not to recommend the approval of the proposed Northshore Woods housing development at their Sept. 13 meeting.
The three items pertaining to the development were tabled for the second consecutive month after the board received an amended traffic impact study as well as comments about the project from the Montana Department of Transportation.
According to a letter to county planner Zachary Moon from MDT District Traffic Engineer Rebecca Anderson, “MDT is concerned with the impact new development will have on the highway system. The number of additional vehicular trips the development will generate is the specific concern.”
The planning board has set a public hearing on the new information for its Wednesday, Oct. 11 meeting, which begins at 6 p.m.
The currently vacant area is proposed to be developed by Longbow Land Partners, LLC of Jackson, Wyoming.
