Keni Wade 2nd at divisionals golf, cross country in action
Keni Wade shot a 76 in Whitefish last week to tie for second at the Western A Divisional Golf Tournament and earn a trip to the state tourney in Sidney this week.
The defending Class B champion finished four strokes behind Frenchtown’s Katie Lewis (72) and tied with Polson’s Ashley Maki.
Keegan Campbell also cracked the top-25 for Bigfork, coming in tied for 14th after shooting a 99 at the tourney.
Keni’s older brother Collin, the defending boys Class B champion, will also be traveling to Sidney after tying for ninth after shooting an 80.
Bigfork’s cross country teams saw action at the Mountain West Classic at the University of Montana in Missoula.
The Vikings finished 26 in the 64-team field with Jack Jensen claiming 69th with a time of 17:06.2.
Sean Cotman was Bigfork’s next best finisher at 156th while Noah Hamilton-Dixon was 161st, Colton Ballard was 239th, Nic Gustavson was273rd, Sam Ayers was 301st and Nollan North was 371st.
For the Vals, Erika Dowling was 272nd and Hadley North was 289th.
