Taste of Bigfork April 28
The Bigfork Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Taste of Bigfork showcase on Sunday, April 28 from 2-5 p.m. Sponsorship tickets are available.
The Taste of Bigfork is a time to welcome the Flathead Valley to the Bigfork village and showcase its talented chefs. Stroll through town while enjoying small bites, wine and the entertainment on what is sure to be a lovely Sunday afternoon.
Bigfork Water and Sewer District
The Bigfork Water and Sewer District will be having it’s monthly board meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 1 p.m. at the district office: 108 Harbor Heights Blvd., Bigfork. The public is welcome to attend. Zoom participation available upon request.
Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee seat open
A member-at-large seat on the Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee (BLUAC) is open for a one-year appointment on May 30. The term will expire on May 31, 2025.
Applicants must be residents and registered voters within the Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee jurisdiction for a minimum of two years.
The position of Recording Secretary to the Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee (BLUAC) is open for appointment. The term will expire on May 31, 2025. Deadline for letters of interest: May 10, 2024

River cleanup day
Flathead Rivers Alliance is teaming up with Wild Montana’s Flathead-Kootenai Chapter to celebrate Earth Day and is seeking volunteers. Join on Sunday, April 21 to clean up several river access sites along the Flathead Wild & Scenic River.
Registered participants will meet at Marantette Park (133 13th St E, Columbia Falls, MT 59912) for orientation, pickup lunches provided courtesy Wild Montana’s Flathead-Kootenai Chapter and then head out with one of the team leads to clean up select river access sites on the mainstem of the Flathead River near Hungry Horse and Middle and North Forks of the Flathead River.
Sonny Boon Trail morning bird walk
Sunday, April 28 from 8-10 a.m. Dan Casey will be leading a morning bird walk along the Sonny Boon Memorial Trail in Somers during this spring migration season. The paved trail follows a portion of the old railroad bed along Somers Slough and offers excellent views of waterfowl as well as a wide variety of land birds reliant on the diverse riparian habitat.
157 species have been reported at this eBird hotspot. These round-trip walks will be one mile each way, and will last approximately two hours, starting at 8am. Attendance is limited to 10 people.
