Ho Ho Ho project back in action
The Ho Ho Ho project is back at Bigfork Food Bank, looking to provide local kids with Christmas Cheer.
Organizer Debbie Ingram started the project in 2019. This year, they will have enough donations to fill 160 stockings with food, as well as gifts for kids of all ages in backpacks. Each kid receives a hat, gloves, socks and a toothbrush and toothpaste,
“I have to admit, we’re in very good shape this year,” Ingram said. “The donations have been amazing, just in this last week I’ve had three brand new donors who have never donated before.”
Due to donations, this year the project will be able to buy gas cards for the high school students. One thing they’re still looking for: crayons for the coloring books.
Distribution day is Tuesday, Dec. 19, and Ingram plans to take donations up until the day before. Donations can be made at all hours to the food donation box at Bigfork Food Bank, 7535 Montana Hwy 35, please mark donations specifically for the project with, “Ho Ho Ho.” Checks and cash donations, also made out to “Ho Ho Ho,” can be mailed to P.O. Box 850, Bigfork, MT 59911.
