Here are the calls for service made to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office from the Bigfork area over the past few weeks.


Jan. 29

A caller from Lakeside reported they were being blackmailed for money so that private photos would not be released.


Jan. 30

Property owners in Somers reported the renters they recently kicked out stole several items, including a 4-wheeler.


Jan. 31

A theft was reported in Bigfork


Feb. 1

A caller from Lakeside advised the southbound lane of the highway was full of nails and screws and was concerned about drivers getting flat tires.


Feb. 4

Lakeside caller reported they had just chased a shoplifter into the bathroom and locked her there. Thief had three bags of merchandise. 


Feb. 5

Six calls for extra patrols from a person because their neighbor “had too many lights on” in their house.


Feb. 7

A truck was broken into in Bigfork with the sledgehammer used to break the window left in the vehicle.

A man called to complain about his neighbor’s wife going through his garbage.


Feb. 8

A caller reported a dog had been locked in a vehicle outside of the Buffalo Bar for three hours.


Feb. 11

Caller was once again complaining about the lights being on at his neighbor’s home.


Feb. 12

A Bigfork caller advised that he was forced to spray his neighbor’s dog with bear spray after it attacked his dog.

A Lakeside woman reported her husband was “drunk again” and threatening to kill her.

A caller reported there were 30 people at the house across the street, including on the roof, and was afraid they were “going to take over his house” as well. Later called to say things were quiet, but the people were probably “hiding in the house with the lights off.”
