Here are the calls for service made to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office from the Bigfork area over the past few weeks.



Dec. 24

License plates were stolen from a vehicle in Bigfork overnight, both the front and rear plates.


Dec. 29

Report of someone in Lakeside pointing a laser into the sky. The caller was concerned about disrupting aircraft flying in the area.


Dec. 31

Bigfork caller’s neighbors are lighting fireworks and her horses have run through a fence. She would like them back. Caller was advised that fireworks are legal in the county.

A Lakeside person reported fireworks going off above their house. Person was concerned they could go into the forest and start a fire.

A Bigfork person reported a suspicious vehicle idling in front of their house and would like law enforcement to make contact.

A Bigfork man was convinced he was hearing bombs going off outside his front door. Was advised they were probably fireworks, but remained adamant they were bombs.


Jan. 3

Caller in Bigfork reported a poodle that had been left in a car for two days. Caller gave it water.

Report of two people fighting in the parking lot of a bar in Lakeside. On the fight card was an intoxicated man vs a possibly intoxicated woman. The man went back in the bar and attempted to hit another patron before the man and women both left.


Jan. 6

Bigfork caller reported that someone had stolen the fencing panels from their dog kennel. 


Jan. 7

Lakeside caller reported the “People under their trailer” were stealing their belongings.

Someone in Bigfork reported their credit card had been stolen and the thief attempted to buy pizza with it.
