Nordic skiing trails open in Bigfork, across Flathead

The North Shore Nordic Club was able to groom all of the trails at the Bigfork Community Nordic Center last week, but has halted all operations there until after the predicted snowstorm this week, most likely resuming grooming Wednesday.
“Once the snow passes, we’ll be back out packing and rolling in whatever we get,” the grooming report stated. “It’s anywhere from -15 to -25 below at our trail systems, too darn cold to groom, or to ski for that matter. Realistically, no grooming will happen till Wednesday.”
Some of the trails on Blacktail Mountain above Lakeside were rolled Tuesday following a decent snowfall. The North Shore Nordic Club expected to groom the Alpine Loop on Wednesday.
