Vikings tally wins over Browning and Ronan

Whitefish fended off Bigfork for a 6-5 West Division victory on Wednesday, May 8. Mason Lewis started the game for the Vikings, striking out three. 

Bigfork trailed 3-0 after three innings and posted three runs in the top of the fourth. Whitefish answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame and another run in the fifth. Bigfork came roaring back, scoring a run in the sixth and seventh but couldn’t quite overcome the deficit. 

Lewis helped his own cause with three RBI, while Ryeln Rodriguez went 2-for-3. Ryder Hamilton and Grady Campbell also drove in runs for Bigfork. 

Bigfork thumps Browning

Bigfork collected 24 hits and defeated Browning 31-0 on Thursday, May 9. Ryeln Rodriguez went 4-for-4 with four RBI, while Cavin Weist went 4-for-5 and drove in six runs.

Bigfork scored 16 runs in the first inning and 12 runs in the second inning. 

Holland Jantzen went 3-for-4 with two doubles, while Hayden Mayer had two hits including a triple. Liam Benson and Tate Francom combined to throw a three-inning no-hitter.

Bigfork falls to Frenchtown

Frenchtown scored 10 runs in the final two innings to down Bigfork 11-1 on Friday, May 10. Bigfork was held to just one hit - by Carson Parish - in the defeat.

Bigfork got an RBI by Parish in the top of the fourth to tie the game up. Frenchtown then scored four runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth. It finished with 10 hits. 

Bigfork wins close one against Ronan

Bigfork scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 7-5 victory in West Division play on Saturday, May 11. Cavin Wiest hit two triples in the victory for the Vikings.

The game was tied 2-2 after three innings but going into the bottom of the sixth, Ronan had a 5-2 lead. Bigfork went on its five-run rally and never looked back, overcoming five errors in the game. 

Wiest drove in four runs for the Vikings, while Grady Campbell and Hayden Mayer also had RBIs.
