Valkyries third at divisionals, headed to state

The Valkyries battled their way to a third-place finish at the Western A Divisional Tournament in Corvallis this weekend, their ticket to the state tournament in Bozeman.
Bigfork went into the bracket fourth in the Northwest. The tournament started out a little rocky facing the number one seed in the Southwest, Frenchtown, on Thursday and the Vals fell 3-1 in close sets; 15-25, 24-26, 25-21, 20-25.
Friday was a big bounce back for Bigfork, starting with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Hamilton; 21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 26-24.
