Deborah Don (Tudahl) Durham, 70
Deborah Don (Tudahl) Durham, 70, passed away on March 15, 2025, at her home in Boulder, Montana. She was born on May 5, 1954, in Minot, North Dakota, the eldest of five children.
Deb spent her early years in Berthold, North Dakota, where she attended grade school before moving to Missoula, Montana. She continued her education at Franklin Grade School and later graduated from Corvallis High School in 1972. She went on to study nursing at Montana State University, always driven by a deep desire to care for others.
Throughout her life, Deb’s adventurous spirit led her across the northwest, where she built a loving home for her family. She married Brian Durham (deceased 2007) on Nov.10, 1981, in Hamilton, and together they embraced life’s journey. From 1979-1988, they worked for Colyer Herefords in Bruneau, Idaho, before settling in Ronan from 1988-1994. Their path later took them to Beach, North Dakota where their story separated. In 2001 Deb moved to Bigfork and remained until 2019 to be closer to family. When her granddaughter, Arena started high school, Deb moved to Boulder to be near her daughter, Jamie, and her beloved granddaughter.
An avid hiker and lover of the outdoors, Deb found solace and joy in nature. Whether trekking through the mountains, exploring trails, or simply soaking in the beauty around her, she felt most at peace under the open sky. She also had a creative spirit and a passion for crafting, finding happiness in making heartfelt gifts for those she loved. Deb loved her flowers. If you ran into her in the springtime, she would tell you about all the bulbs she planted.
Deb touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness, unwavering confidence in others, and boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Betty Tudahl, her husband, Brian Durham (2007), and her brother, Bruce Tudahl.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Susan (Randy) Holman, brothers, Dan (Debbie) Tudahl and Mark (Kelcy) Tudahl, daughter, Jamie Durham, granddaughters, Arena Faler and Taylor Jenks, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Deb’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on April 12, at the Montana Ranch sale barn, 1463 MT Hwy 83, Bigfork, Montana.
