Bigfork’s Holland Jantzen was the heavyweight champion of the Western A Divisional Wrestling Tournament in Browning this weekend, bringing in 29 team points for the Vikings.
The Vikes placed tenth overall at the tournament with 70 team points. Joining Jantzen on the podium were Lincoln Ledingham (215) in third, Wyatt Elwell (175) in seventh, Callen Ballard (103) in seventh and Noah Rust (118) in eighth.
The Valkyries wrestling team placed eighth at divisionals, led by Ava Larsen (100) who earned fourth place for her weight class. Angela Farrier (145) came in fifth, Grace Holtmeyer (115) sixth, Shannon Woll (120) sixth and Cassy Schlicht (115) seventh.
Up next, Bigfork will head to the State Tournament at Metrapark in Billings Feb. 13-15.
