Bigfork speech and debate will send three to nationals

Three Bigfork speech and debate team members will compete in nationals this summer following nat quals in Whitefish this weekend.
Brody Henion won first place for his dramatic interpretation piece, with team Jake Baldi and Olivia Close earning second for their duo interpretation. Micah Butler earned third place in dramatic interpretation and will serve as a first alternate for nationals.
The national tournament will be held in Des Moines, Iowa June 15 through 20.
“We will be doing a lot of fundraising starting in the next week or so,” coach Shirley Stine said.
