Land use committee OK's Sandy Lane zone change

A zone change request for properties on Sandy Lane was approved at the Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee's June meeting.

Nancy Winegard, Brian and Amy Piazzola, and Trayer Family Trust had requested to change zoning on four lots from SAG-10 Suburban Agricultural to SAG-5 Suburban Agricultural, allowing them to split four 10-acre parcels into eight 5-acre parcels.

A representative from Sands Engineering told the board the change was needed to facilitate estate planning purposes.

The request was approved unanimously and will be placed on the July 9 county planning board agenda.

Also at the June meeting, the committee discussed the Bigfork Neighborhood Plan update where the second draft of the demographic and economic section of the plan was presented.
