Community meal

A free community meal is at Bethany Lutheran Church every Wednesday. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. The church is at 8559 Montana 35.

Monday Market

The Bigfork Monday Market with fresh food, artists, food trucks and live music from 5-8 p.m. at 191 Mill Street.

Ferndale market

Ferndale Farmer’s Market at Skald Coffee is from noon to 5 p.m. at 12090 Highway 83. Food, vendors and live music.

Fourth of July

The annual Independence Day parade rolls through Bigfork on July 4 from noon to 1 p.m. This year’s theme is “Spanning Legacies – Celebrating the Past and Welcoming the Future.” There will be food trucks and live music in the downtown parking lot starting at 10 a.m.  

Freedom Run

The Freedom Run 5k takes place July 4 in Bigfork. The Run/Walk is open to all ages and abilities. The race benefits Grateful Nation Montana. Gather at Lake Baked around 8 a.m. for check in and the race begins at 9 a.m.

Rodeo

The Bigfork Rodeo is July 5-9 from 4:30-10 p.m. at 2840 Montana 82. 

Riverbend Concert Series

Riverbend Concert Series will be held at Sliter’s park on Sundays throughout the summer and will begin at 7 p.m. Joe Martinez performs July 6. Admission is $5 per person and under 13 are free. Season passes may be purchased at the concerts.

School board meets

The Bigfork School Board meets Tuesday, July 8 at 5 p.m. in the Bigfork High School Library.

Garage Sale

Bigfork Senior Center Garage Sale is July 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 639 Commerce St. Contact Liana Orsolini at (406) 309-1862 or email: lorsolini1@gmail.com. To donate items, drop them off at the Senior Center on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for the sale. No heavy furniture.

Bear Fair

The annual bear fair is July 19 from noon – 4 p.m. at the Swan Valley Community Hall in Condon. Presentations on the local bear population from FWP Region 1 Bear and Lion Specialist Erik Wenum, and grizzly bear research team member, Milan Vinks.
