Bigfork soccer camp returns with international flair

After a successful debut last summer, the One Soccer Schools Elite Day Camp is returning to Bigfork this July 7–11 at the Carlyle Johnson Soccer Fields.
With an international coaching lineup and a curriculum focused on elite skill development, the camp has already become a standout opportunity for young soccer players across the Flathead Valley.
Organized in collaboration with the Bigfork Soccer Club, the camp is open to all players — not just those registered with the club.
“Last year was our first time hosting this camp and it went beautifully,” said Bigfork Soccer Club’s Shannon Garner. “We had players from all over the valley. The level of coaching and depth of knowledge really brought something we haven’t seen in the area before.”
This year, the camp will again feature coaches from around the globe — including Argentina, England, Ireland, Africa, and Mexico — with backgrounds ranging from college standouts to former professional players. These coaches don’t just instruct — they scrimmage with participants, offering live, on-field insights and play.
“One of the most exciting parts is that the full-day campers get to play with the coaches in the afternoons,” Garner added. “When fall season came around, we could immediately tell who had gone to the camp.”
Garner said that the coaches last year loved the Flathead Valley so much they requested to come back.
“They said we had the nicest kids and that they loved the wildlife, weather and water,” Garner said.
The camp is open to players as young as five years old through high school seniors. Younger players are encouraged to sign up for the half-day session, which runs from 8 a.m. to noon. Full-day campers will break for lunch and continue through the afternoon.
Space is limited to 75–80 participants. Thanks to spring fundraising efforts, Bigfork-registered players receive a discount, although the camp itself is operated independently by One. Soccer Schools.
