Chamber Sundowner

The next Chamber Sundowner is Wednesday, May 8 from 5–6:30 p.m. at Loon Lake 4-H Camp. Food from Skald Coffee & Eats and beer and wine provided by Tall Pine Lounge. 

Rummage and bake sale

18th Annual Rags to Riches Rummage and Bake Sale is May 9-10 at St. Paul II Catholic Church in Bigfork.

Community meal

A free community meal is at Bethany Lutheran Church every Wednesday. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. The church is at 8559 Montana 35.

Fantastic fish

As part of the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks’ “Hooked on Fishing” program, Scot Bealer will be giving a presentation titled “All About Montana’s Fantastic Fish.” The program is from 6-8 p.m. at Bigfork Art and Cultural Center.

Water and Sewer meeting

Bigfork Water and Sewer District monthly board meeting will take place May 14 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the high school community room located at 600 Commerce St.

County Planning Board

The Flathead County Planning Board meets May 14 at 6 p.m. at 40 11th St. West in Kalispell.

School board meeting

The Bigfork School Board meeting is May 14 at 5 p.m. in the Bigfork High School Library.

Community Foundation

The Community Foundation for a Better Bigfork 56th annual meeting is Wednesday, May 14 at Flathead Lake Lodge. Cocktail hour 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. Register by May 1.

Lakeside Water and Sewer

An open house on the wastewater treatment project and information about sewer collection improvements is Thursday, May 15 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the QRU building on Bills Road in Lakeside.

Saddle Up

Saddle Up For Hope is at Flathead Lake Lodge on Thursday, May 22. The event supports the annual Week of Hope — a week dedicated to giving children with critical illnesses and their families a chance to rest.

Whitewater Festival

The 50th annual Bigfork Whitewater Festival hits the Wild Mile section of the Swan River through Bigfork on May 23-25. Visit bigforkwhitewaterfestival.com for a full schedule of events.

Poker run

The 16th annual Montana Legends Memorial Poker Run for the Vets is May 24, departing from the A Bar in Ferndale at 1 p.m.

Paddleboard race

The annual Battle in the Bay paddleboard race coincides with the Whitewater Festival on Saturday, May 24. 

Board of Adjustment

The Flathead County Board of Adjustment meets June 3 at 6 p.m. at 40 11th St. West in Kalispell.
