Road work on Montana 82 underway

Road work is planned for Montana 82 from the intersection with U.S. 93 and continuing east for approximately 1.5 miles to the intersection with Hard Rock Road.

Improvements include a resurfaced roadway, chip seal, fog seal, new pavement markings and rumble strips. The purpose of this project is to extend the service life of the roadway and enhance safety features.

Work is scheduled to begin the week of May 12, with anticipated completion by the beginning of June, weather and other factors permitting. Crews will be working 24 hours a day until the project is completed.

Traffic control will be in place while crews are present. Traffic will be restricted to one lane at times, with flaggers and signals in place. Travelers should expect reduced speeds of 35 mph. Traffic will be guided through the project area by pilot cars.
